To me it means holding on to what you believe in and understanding that not everyone will love you for who you are, but that this doesn’t necessarily mean you’re the one who should change.
Today I was invited to starting working for a few hours a week on a programme I used to volunteer with. I was worried that I may have scuppered my chances at the informal interview by being too honest, but at the same time I would have felt massively uncomfortable going into it under false pretences. Turns out everything worked out all right in the end and I can’t wait to start. Things are looking up in Georgia-land!
